Adam Scharf brings over 10 years of experience in software engineering, platform development, and technical leadership to the 434 Marketing team. Adam is passionate about improving operational efficiencies through emerging (and tried and true!) technology.
Prior to joining 434, Adam spent a decade at Capital One, where he advanced from Software Engineer to Senior Manager. Along the way, he helped design scalable systems, streamlined document management, and introduced automations that reduced operational complexity. In his leadership role, he guided a team of 10 engineers on enterprise-wide initiatives, delivering stable, integrated platforms for automated processing of millions of customer documents. He is recognized for bridging business needs with modern engineering practices—improving efficiency, enhancing developer experience, and enabling sustainable growth.
Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and postbaccalaureate certifications in Computer Science and Cybersecurity. He has also completed numerous professional Certifications, including the AWS Developer and AWS Solutions Architect certifications. At Capital One, Adam was also selected for and completed a six-month, emerging leader development program. He is passionate about fostering inclusive teams, having served as a Belonging Ambassador to promote diversity, inclusion and belonging in workplace discussions.
Adam is also a devoted husband and father of two young sons. Outside of work, he enjoys tabletop games, sports, and traveling.
