City of Lynchburg Custom Website Wins International Award

The City of Lynchburg, Virginia Office of Economic Development was awarded a Silver Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) yesterday for its Opportunity Lynchburg website. 434 Marketing designed and developed the custom, mobile-friendly website, which launched on January 15, 2015

Whitney Slightham, marketing director at 434, attended the IEDC Conference in Anchorage, Alaska this week to accept the award on behalf of the team.

The IEDC’s Excellence in Economic Development Awards recognize the world’s top marketing efforts, programs, and partnerships in economic development. The Opportunity Lynchburg website and content marketing strategy were awarded a Silver Medal in the General Website Category. 

The City of Lynchburg’s Office of Economic Development and the Lynchburg Economic Development Authority provide strategic incentives and programming to drive business retention, expansion, and attraction in the area.
