Everyone with photoshop is a designer, right? Wrong. Heck, people are designing in Google Slides these days (don’t tell anyone… that’s how we designed our website).
Here at 434, we don’t let just anyone be a designer — only those with the weirdness, ingenuity and passion to produce the best work.
Reality: everyone on our team has some of those skills, and we like to use them to work together. Our collaborative approach to design means that you don’t get just one kickass designer working on a project, you get a whole team of creatives. And those creatives are constantly pushing boundaries, offering (constructive) criticism and improving relentlessly. And when you’re thinking about your brand and how it can stand out amongst your competitors, you need a designer who will push some boundaries and (dare we say it?) get a little weird.
Depending on the medium of the design (web, print, hot air balloon, etc.), we take many factors into consideration. Factors like typography, color psychology, the buyer’s journey, analytics and cost-benefit all dictate the type of experience a customer will have when they interact with your brand.
We don’t just create solid designs, but designs that are smart. After all, there is no such thing as a boring project, only a designer who makes the project boring. We’re not boring. We quote too much Star Wars to be boring.
“There are three responses to a piece of design-yes, no, and WOW! Wow is the one to aim for.”
– Milton Glaser
Here’s a look at just some of the things we like to design:
- Websites (But for real… our design and development process is insane. Your experience will be painless.)
- Branding packages
- Print pieces
- Web ads
- Kinetic animations
